Golf West Gippsland has just signed a major sponsorship agreement with the Valley Motor Group. The deal was announced at the recent launch of the Golf West Gippsland (GWG) new Strategic Plan for 2024-2027. Will Hanrahan, Chairperson GWG said, “We are delighted to have the support of Glenn Chenoweth, and the Valley Motor Group as we work to grow the game”.
Speaking at the announcement Glenn Chenoweth said, “Golf is a great game for the whole family and I like what is happening at Golf West Gippsland, and their plans to work in partnership with the clubs to establish and expand junior programs and encourage more women to play”.
Mr Chenoweth expressed his passion for golf at all levels, he enjoys watching the highly skilled players at Country Week and he also wants to see more people playing more golf.
The Valley Motor Group (VMG) sponsorship builds on the support of previous years where VMG provided numerous prizes for the GWG Championships and in 2024 includes provision of the country week uniforms and a generous monetary amount to assist GWG to grow the game in the West Gippsland Area.
Mr Chenoweth said, “Golf is a game that is suited to all ages and skill levels where the handicap system is a good leveller. You don’t have to be highly skilled to have a lot of fun, I play off a high handicap and enjoy playing with people of various skill sets from scratch to high handicappers”.
